Philémon Dionne (il) (@OrderOfTheGoodHair) is an inclusive hair artist situated on Ontario Street in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. Stylist and colorist, Philémon is welcoming you in his hairdressing studio with his first passion : taking care of people. He's specialized in gender affirming haircuts. His services are offered on a sliding scale price list pay what you can according to offered service.

Pour utiliser une rampe d’accès : passez par le Café Rond-Point (3213 Ontario E). Les deux espaces communiquent à l’intérieur. (Si fermé, s.v.p sonnez au 3215 Ontario E.)

How to get here Préfontaine metro station is 700 meters away and there’s a bus stop for the 125 line a street corner away.

How to enter The studio is situated on street level. There is a 6 inches step and then a 5 inches threshold in front of the front door. If you need an access ramp, please enter via the adjacent door at 3213 Ontario East (Café Le Rond-Point) and use the sliding door on your right, in front of the cash register to enter the studio. The studio is in the back of the room, which is a thrift store, you will need to cross approximately 15 feet (on a single level) to reach it. 

Bathrooms There is a single, non-gendered, toilet room. There is no accessibility hand bar, but we have an infant changing table at your disposal.

Sensory needs Fidget/stim toys fidget/stim and disposable ear plugs are at your disposition at all times during your appointment. If you’d prefer to not get your hair washed during the appointment, it is possible if your hair is freshly washed prior to our session. Some music on which I don’t have control over is played in the room.

Communication If you prefer written communication during the appointment, I have some paper and pen. Furthermore, I’m glad to adapt to anyone using any other communication aid tools.

Proceedings of an appointment t: At your arrival, the salon is in the back of the room, behind the thrift store. I will greet you and will invite you to sit down or wait for me to finish with the person I am with. Then, we will discuss what your desires are. I invite you to come with reference pictures to help me visualize and understand what you want. It is a great time to mention any concerns or accessibility accommodations you might need. 

Proceedings of a haircut :

1. We will start at the shampoo bowl, where I take care of washing your hair and massaging your scalp. If you opted out of the hair washing, I’m wetting it with a spray bottle.
2. Haircut
3. Drying and styling of your hair. At this step, I use different styling products depending on your hair type. This is at this step that I finalize the cut on dry hair.
4. When the haircut is done, I invite you to look at the front and the back of your head to confirm if you are satisfied.
5. Then, we proceed to the payment and book a future appointment if you'd like.
